About The Pic:
There are many wonderful things in the world. Many people portray them as trees, money, flowers, daylight, material objects. But most people don’t see the hidden wonders in the beauty of destruction. In this picture I used my avatar as a model and a pose I made to kind of capture that hidden beauty. The tone of this scene in ruin is but a small portion of that beauty, the suburban setting, and avatar with the “just getting by” look. My reasons for choosing this spot in SL were very obvious; it matched the theme of the picture and clearly showed what I was aiming for. The Semi-wrecked building is one of the main focuses of this picture, it’s supposed to be the symbol of what used to be but has passed. The fact that it’s still standing in place gives the feeling that no matter how far gone something leaves it’s always going to be there in the end, in the hearts of minds of the ones who cherished it. The avatar standing against the building looking down into the midst of nothingness is the story. To the viewer just a person, but to me a reason, him being there shows that it’s a place of great history to him, looking down as if to be remembering the good times that once used to be there, Knowing that in some way those times still linger but are now long in his past. The Words and name of the picture, “My City Alive” is a description of what is going on in the avatars mind, giving the feeling that even though the place seems to be gone, the city is still very much alive and will always carry on to be known by the people who have, will, and currently do inhabit it.

Love On Another Level, Picture Of Serrealism, And Visual Beauty

About The Picture:
People say, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” But what is a thousand words worth to a picture? This picture was inspired by the surrealistic moods and tones of what the environment has been around me lately, the cold air at some points, and gradually changing skies. Most of the “cartoon” or “drawing” effect came from my personal liking of things that are unreal in the most real situations. Most of the setting is of course as many know an AM Radio setting, only the pose was placed there by me for a short amount of time I was there to take this picture. I chose the place for the surrealistic tone of it, a countryside home with an abandon train on the tracks without a lead car, the dark skies in great sunlight. The name “Surreal Seconds” was something I thought of when I was taking this one, The ability to capture something so greatly close to a real life situation but in an abstract way, then twist and mend it into something so unreal it’s like a dream of reality. The reason for me using the train cars mostly instead of any other part of the scene was because of the mood they set, emitting a tone and feeling of loneliness and endless sorrow, but the couple together so happily in the pose that the train seems to accent the idea of blissful togetherness. The feeling of just the two and no one else around to disrupt the moment.
